On Debian Sarge (Evolution 1.4.6), some user keep complaining about
Evolution not showing new appointments.
I explain: they enter their appointment, save it, but it does not appear
in the Calendar stuff.
have they ran a search on the calendar before adding the appointment? If
so, if the new appointment does not match the query, it won't be
displayed.
Not at all. It still displays the old ones as usual, but does not accept
to display the new ones.
cheers
Just to let you know that I also had this issue, and ended up renaming
my evolution folder, running evolution, closing evolution and then
manually melding the new and old folders together, being careful to not
move anything unless it looked as though it contained data.
The problem vanishes when all Evolution components are shutdown. The
calendar file (.ics) contains the right information. The problem is just
Evolution "forgetting" to display them.
Also, on another PC with this issue, upgrading to 1.5.x correctly pulled
the entries across and enabled entry again.
1.5.x is still beta, so are my users ;-)
