Re: [Evolution] Evolution takes ages to start up

I'm having no problems whatsoever with the rest of my internet access.
And when Evolution finally runs it down/uploads mail etc as it should.
The problem is getting it running in the first place.

Just like Mark Knecht I cannot reproduce your issues. No version of
Evolution ever took that long to start up. That is, without fooling
around with configuration of course... ;-)

Evo _will_ take a long time to start up, when it has to rebuild the
indexing files (applies to local folders only). Try indexing the entire
archive of this mailing list with about 30.000 messages from scratch and
you get a result like you described...

You can manually turn off indexing in the Properties of any local
mailbox (right click) just for testing.

evolution-shell-WARNING **: Cannot get /OfflineFolders/paths from
ConfigDatabase -- IDL:Bonobo/ConfigDatabase/NotFound:1.0

Just a wild guess: Do you have any Offline folders defined in the
Settings?

Do you use POP3, IMAP, local mail spool, ...? Do you use LDAP? Any
unusual Settings? Do you have changed any default Settings besides
creating mail accounts?
