London is at GMT _at_ _the_ _moment_; we change to GMT+1 for the summer.
GMT is the standard timezone against which all others are measured --
the '-0800' in your Date: header shows that you're currently 8 hours
behind GMT. If you ignore the odd second here and there and some
pedantry, GMT is also known as 'Coordinated Universal Time' or UTC.
(Actually they're not _quite_ the same thing but they're close enough
that if you don't know the difference it'll never affect you).
