yes a \r or \n is sufficient to cause LDAP to Base64 encode it b/c a
linefeed in the ldif spec signals the end of an attribute, so you cannot
include a raw linefeed in an attribute.
I've just tried it without any breaks at all (ie a single line) and it
still does it. Hmm.
