Re: [Evolution] Reading threads

This has bothered me since threading was implemented way back. What
seems to happen when using the preview pane is that every time a mail is
deleted, the whole list is resorted so that the thread that you are
viewing is placed wherever the next mail in the thread currently sits in
the sort order. The net effect of this is that by the time you read and
possibly delete/move the last mail in the thread you are either at the
end of the list or somewhere in between.

I think the proper behavior would be to not re-sort the message list
every time a mail is deleted or moved when viewing mails threaded. Maybe
wait until the user either changes to another view or closes and
restarts evo.

Very very similar, except that in preview pane mode. If I delete a file
in a thread the whole thread seems to move down the sort order, which
then means when I reach the end of the thread I move to a different
thread, rather than the one I expected.

Does that bug sound the same?

There wasn't really an answer except to say use preview pane to get more control
of what happens, more of a fudge than a cure.
