Dear
Hib
I am happy to hear that evince will has a good future on Windows base.
As a normal user, the basic entry is just want to see a colorful icons first.
Because I am using the "Default Programs" on Windows 7 to config *.pdf files will default opening by evince.
Although all the pdf files have changed to the old school icons, I also does it since I love using the clean and fast software.
As I know that evince on ubuntu is using Adobe's icon. (Of coz not exactly one but seems Adobe).
Therefore, if just has some colorful icon first, I will more like evince and sharing this clean software for my friends.
As I see that in Program Files, evince for Windows is using the linux architecture. So I just use evince as a non-installable software. (Copy all the installed files to another path and launch it.)
This also work with Windows 7 64-bit Retail Version.
I think you do not worried about between Windows XP and Windows 7 very much.
Because as my experience on Windows 7 (From M1 until Retail Version), its comparability is quite good.
However, I will keep going to update evince if it released the new version.
Nice experience on Ubuntu with Evince and I hope to keep this experience on Windows base too!
Nice jobs for your development team!
Thank you!
Best Regards
Kim Wong
