This is an English list so I reply accordingly: Sugar uses python
bindings for libevview , a library that exposes almost everything on
Evince except the UI around the view widget (not sure is there is more
libs involved)

PS: Breve en español. Usan Evince empotrado/"embebido" a través de la
librería libevview (aunque también es posible que haya más librerias
implicadas) usando python a través de bindings a la libreria. Te paso
varios enlaces: blog donde hay un breve ejemplo, enlaces a las lista de
desarrollo -un de ellas en español- y a al IRC.
