Brian already said the rest of what I wanted to say. If you check
Fedora Weekly News, each item is a summary plus links to original
discussion on mailing list or blogposts. That's quite a different (and
less time demanding) format than GNOME Journal. This can be done under
the GNOME Journal name, yes. That's not the main issue though.

Sure, I know what you mean. I did it for a year and a half.
I took about 2 hours to put together a summary when I was doing it.
You might also consider using Shaun McCance Pulse project to pull in
commit stats and what not as a replacement for the stats that we were doing for the GNOME summaries.. It'll
give you a good indication on how
"busy" a project is and probably a good target.

I think Rahul's suggestion may actually quite work. I don't mind write
a paragraph about new features going into Pango and Cairo every other
week. I'm sure others don't mind doing the same for their project
either. Remains an editor to put it all together. Volunteers?

I just hate having to split up writing talent. The pool is already
depressingly small. But one good thing that has come out of this
thread is that someone has admitted to writing articles and I know
exactly who to target now for future issues. :-) You have no one
to blame but yourselves.

If people want advice or tips let me know..
