Maybe we could make some sort of test mode to detect this. Say you have
all _("Foo") automatically translated to "___Foo", and then we make
GtkLabel and GtkEntry automatically switch to red text when the string
doesn't start with ___, or something like that. That would let testers
keep running in english, while being able to detect non-translated
strings.
