Distros are free to package and ship GNOME components however they see fit so long as they comply with any applicable copyright/trademark licensing. Unfortunately, as a good analogy, most tend to ship Firefox or Seamonkey as the default browser instead of Epiphany - Does this mean we should just stop hacking on Epiphany entirely? That would be far counterproductive to GNOME's goal of being a consistent, user-friendly desktop. Besides, replacing components with better alternatives may be a good thing - such as when gpdf was replaced with Evince. -- Peter Gordon (codergeek42) GnuPG Public Key ID: 0xFFC19479 / Fingerprint: DD68 A414 56BD 6368 D957 9666 4268 CB7A FFC1 9479
