As long as it's only for the maximised state, sure.
Yes, which is why I'm not sure that it's something to consider for the
default theme of 2.8.0. It would have to involve a little bit of
metacity code magic, maybe a theme-specific option that would allow and
disallow this, or a g-conf key to do so. Some themes would simply not be
fit (haha, pun) for this.
