I don't think errors belong directly in the toplevel GUI. After all this
might not really be errors (let alone fatal/important).
If we put "unloaded modules" (call it what you want) in a separate
dialog or tab there will be more room for error messages or usage
instructions.
That is also why I don't think we should include this list in the
ordinary handler list.
I understand your point. I don't know if this meets the Gnome HIG, but how about on the context menu, between Preferences and About? It doesn't even have to be error-specific, perhaps you capture all the console output and have a choice there for "View Log"? There are enough Linux programs with similar choices somewhere in their menus that the concept of a log containing technical details won't be unfamiliar to most users, and looking in the logs for error messages is something even the technology-challenged have probably been asked to do by their more savvy helpers.
