Re: [Banshee-List] Schedule proposal for Banshee 2.4

Hi,

I am going to show my ignorance here.

Banshee is the default music player on Ubuntu 11.10 which uses GTK3.

Therefore banshee already has GTK3 support.

So what is meant by GTK3 support?

Do debian/ubuntu have a bunch of patches which fix GTK3 problems with banshee? (if so these need to be applied to upstream banshee)

Are there features in banshee on ubuntu 11.10 which are broken because of missing GTK3 support?

Are we only talking about new features not available in banshee on ubuntu 11.10?

Hi,

About GTK3 support (which add gtk# backend with video too), the pending bug to solve for integration is here:
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=442068
and I need help on it because I am a bit stuck with it.
Knocte seems to be interested in it.
I have quite no time currently to test new patch to fix this bugs.
My last comment in bugzilla explain the situation and all solution tested.

Latest news is probably that we are still stuck waiting for Mike
Kestner or a similarly knowledgable GTK#3/Mono hacker to look at the
last issue. Please do reach out if anyone knows how to fix it.
