I was really just playing devils advocate rather than proposing a new
feature for Banshee. That said iTunes does have a ring tones section
so I am sure someone will ask the question in the not too distant
future if syncing the G1 becomes common. Of course many will argue
that it exists in iTunes solely to enable Apple to resell iPhone users
parts of the same audio track that's already in their music library,
and they would of course be right.

Personally I don't use Banshee's video features and its true they are
fairly limited compared to the music portion of the Banshee. But I
think they are better left in and hopefully improved upon rather than
removed since they are at least functional.

Still I am managing my video collection using the careful use of the
file system and the old fashioned concept of manually organised files
and folders. That said, that's exactly how I used to manage my music
collection until iTunes came along (before I switched to Ubuntu) Now I
can't imagine managing my music collection without an app like Banshee
or iTunes.
