Hmph. When I implemented this, I was thinking more along the lines of
iPod (and amarok) composer tag support. Which way do you think Banshee
should go?
As of a few weeks ago, I've been using MusicBrainz and I see a lot of
value there though, truth be told, I'm a big fan of the extra tags
proposed here: http://reactor-core.org/ogg-tagging.html. I suppose in
that way, Banshee would provide support for composer *and* performer.
I don't see this being incredibly useful though, as the only way this
would be beneficial is if all types of apps--taggers, players,
portable devices, etc.--were able to support them. Call me a cynic....
