Gentoo still mounts the ipod, but now ipod gives this error which was not there before: $ ipod Listening for iPod-specific HAL events... ** Message: Device Added: /org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/volume_uuid_8F6F_30E8 glibtop: This machine has 1 CPUs, 1 are being monitored. Not a Valid iPod! Try Rebooting the iPod -aaron
