This linking (libpthread after libgpgme) order caused balsa to hang on  
*some* systems with gppgme 0.3.x, but the gpgme people claim that they  
resolved it by providing libgpgme-pthread. I'll check that...

The log is *really* interesting:

You have automagic key retrieval (option auto-key-retrieve) activated in  
your $HOME/.gnupg/options file, right? This sequence of "[GNUPG:]"  
messages looks as if gpg tried to retreive the key without success  
(message 1 + 2, they are missing in my log, and I don't have the auto mode  
activated!), and then checked the signature, which failed due to the  
missing key. Great! This looks like a gpgme bug to me, I'll pass it to  
them, please stay tuned.
