Sometimes ago I had a problem with some characters of my sig (hyphens) and 
gnupg because they weren't escaped correctly when not at the beginning of 
a line.

Your msg also has some strange hyphens at the end - perhaps it's again 
that?

Strangely with gpg 1.2.1 and gpgme 0.3.15 on debian sid it does work. 
(balsa cvs from 2003-04-22 with some of albrecht's patches)
