For now there is no incompatibility to run procmail when you have enabled
built-in filters. Moreover you have to configure with --enable-all to have
filters compiled (I can even make a new option just to enable/disable
filters compilation).
In fact like I said before (but I think it wasn't on the list because I
always use reply button with taking care of putting at least a cc to the
list :-( ), for now I think that built-in filters are mainly interesting in
their use to look at a subset of all messages of a (possibly huge) mailbox
that satisfies rules (and you can have a lot of that).
I'll also have a look at sieve, but argh I hope I won't have to rewrite all
from scratch to support it :-)
