Presentation input?

I'm working on my presentation and I wondered if you had any suggestions or inputs about the audience or the type of presentation.

I assume most people will not be familiar with GNOME. Will we be giving them a demo? (Or should I?) A demo of existing GNOME or GNOME 3.0? Highlight freedom or economic opportunity? Individuals or companies?

I also saw that my talk is scheduled for 25 minutes but then there's a long break. What happens during that break?

Will my talk be interpreted while I'm speaking? If not, what is the average English language ability of the audience?
