[Vala] Hiding MenuItems; was Gtk menus

Okay, here are a few things that don't behave as expected:

MenuItem.destroy();
Menu.remove(someMenuItem);
MenuItem.hide(); //It is a widget, right?

None of these will remove a MenuItem from sight.
