Such derogatory statements won't get us any further. Besides apes learn
aswell ;)

So your statement would also apply to the entire HiG? Why thinking about
how to make the UI more userfriendly? They'll learn. It's what people
do.

No. The HiG is a great piece of work, but there are still things that
need improvement. Selections is one area where it needs improvement IMO.

Right. How? Suppose i wanted to select Item7-Item18 but i did Item
1-Item18 first, how do i deselect Item1-Item6?

Open up totems playlist and try to drag and drop.  
You'll see it doesn't happen in every gtktree, there's no unified behaviour for 
drag&drop. What you can expect right now is that the entire row gets selected.
If you expect it to drag&drop then it just proves that the UI is wrong.
