Agreed- but I have doubts about just having Alt+F4, since this hotkey
requires more straining of fingers and hands to hit than Ctrl+W does.

Agreed as well. Acroread has some wacky MDI-like app-centric way of
handling closing windows. Ideally a user shouldn't need to be aware of
which app he's using, but would just be able to focus on the documents he
wants to work with.
