I'd agree with that-- applications that automatically plonk themselves
on the desktop/panel/anywhere else (other than the foot menu) by default
when you install them aren't really being good desktop citizens. Did
you write anything about this in your part of the HIG? If not, it
perhaps sounds like something to mention.
