Re: [Usability] Launchers? [Was: logout dialog redux]



I'm *NOT* in favour of applications adding themselves to the desktop
however. Users are always hesitant to throw away a change an application
made and I see many Windows users who's desktops are pretty much
useless. About all they click is "My Computer" and "Internet Explorer".
The rest is covered with launchers they don't use but feel uncomfortable
deleting because they "might" use them some day. Macintosh users on the
other hand seem to use their desktops for work, and generally have
active documents and such stashed there.
