So tracker packaged with debian squeeze...doesn't work in debian squeeze? Really? Presumably that would mean there's no way to run Tracker on Debian Stable? (but see below)

Ok, thanks. Running dbus-launch, exporting session vars enables me to get tracker running!

Miners:
 â File System - Idle
 â Applications - Idle


But now I'm back to how to configure it without gsettings?
