[Tracker] Can I use tracker to index files on my X-less Debian server?

Hi

I use tracker on my desktop, but would like to run it on my Debian Squeeze fileserver. The server does not have X (and therefore no Gnome).

I'd achieve this by writing a simple php wrapper to the tracker commandline tools so everyone who uses the file server can also search it.

I tried installing tracker, but could not find a way to configure it (no gsettings), and got dbus errors. I read on an archived mail conversation that tracker "ought" to be able to work without X.

Is there a way to achieve this? Or is this really a desktop/gnome -only tool?

Thanks,
