Well, I haven't played with viewports before, but I started when looking
into new-viewport, and it looks like it may be interesting. The use
pattern I see for a new-viewport setter is that it would keep your
viewports "compact" -- i.e., all in the same region of your virtual
desktop. In any event, it seems useful to be able to check to see if a
given viewport (i.e., screen-sized section of VD) is empty.
