that's what this sawfish-experimental (as I see it) is intended for.
You are right - there might be some confusion in numbering. So Just
as well we could simply give single numbers:

1st release is sawfish-experimental-1
2nd release is sawfish-experimental-2
2rd release is sawfish-experimental-3

and no fancy x.y.z numbering. That would solve the problem with
saying what is experimental 1.5.0 and what is experimental 1.3.5.
(it will take a lifetime to reach 99 ;)

The point is that:

1. with experimental branch we are making releases that contain all
the patches, and which are being worked on.

2. experimental and stable are released at similar points in time,

3. and on every release *some* patches are migrated from experimental
to stable.

Main goal is that people will have a sawfish-experimental package in
their linux distribution on equal rights as stable. (two debian
packages, two centos packages, etc). And they will decide themselves
which sawfish they want to use. This will let more people to "try it".

I'm sure that plenty of people will be excited to see tabs in
experimental. Even if the first implementation is dirty.

If others like this idea too, I think that I'll make that branch in a
week or two.
