what i mean in that is not really important what kind of tool do you use to set some settings. the best thing about sabayon IMHO is the ability to check the result without hassle. applying gconf settings, even without sabayon, is pretty trivial for any experienced admin with some scripting knowledge.
so i dont understand why do you focus on pessulus (rather than sabayon itself) as it is the easy part of the whole picture.
to manage an intranet with lot of computers you need an admin with experience, you need to digg into the lungs of your SO, indeed you need to use the console because front-ends never do all what you want to do, so i dont get the point in involving so many resources in a front-end like pessulus.
