The
Rhythmbox support for iPod's is simple and good enough that
you should probably just plug it in and see if it works by
yourself. Make sure the iPod plugin is enabled and if it
works, the iPod should appear as a source in Rhythmbox. That
simple.
If it doesn't
appear, then it's not supported and you would have spent
less time on that then writing these emails ;)
Regardless of
model, automatic syncing the iPod with Rhythmbox does not
work. What you can do is drag and drop songs to your iPod
(and I believe playlist syncing is either in the latest
version or in the development code, but it's coming).

My caution is warranted as I've read several posts on Ubuntu forum
and other sites that simply state- "I destroyed my iPod" using
Banshee or Rhythmbox. Obviously I don't want my gadget to become a
statistic.
About drag and drop into iPod- no that's something that would be
very good.
Can videos be loaded the same way (drag and drop) onto the iPod
using RB?

So far it seems no one has connected their

Hi Aleksandr,
it is not actually the case. :)
The problem is that nobody knows your specific iPod
model, so that nobody can insure you whether it
works or not.
If you give us (to Christophe in particular) your
model detail, maybe he can tell you more.
Keep fine,
