The Rhythmbox support for iPod's is simple and good enough that you should probably just plug it in and see if it works by yourself. Make sure the iPod plugin is enabled and if it works, the iPod should appear as a source in Rhythmbox. That simple.

If it doesn't appear, then it's not supported and you would have spent less time on that then writing these emails ;)

Regardless of model, automatic syncing the iPod with Rhythmbox does not work. What you can do is drag and drop songs to your iPod (and I believe playlist syncing is either in the latest version or in the development code, but it's coming).

it is not actually the case. :)

The problem is that nobody knows your specific iPod model, so that nobody can insure you whether it works or not.

If you give us (to Christophe in particular) your model detail, maybe he can tell you more.
