I can't wait to see (and enjoy of) your work, guys!!
What it should be nice is to see a kind of conceptual link also with "
last.fm queue" plugin [1] and to just click on a most popular song (that you own on your library) to enqueued it.
Cheers,
giopas

Yes,
you are right, there are just few differences for now.
The first list of artists (the one with images) is a list of related artists that you have in your library. Clicking on each artist filters the global search.
This is for the first 0.1. Then the idea is to provide a right click context menu with different functions and the left click should open a TreeView with the most popular song (that you have) of that artist.
The second list is just a TreeView with a number of suggested artists And clicking on each should send you to the related last.fm page.
Now i am playing with python-clutter to provide a new UI with animation, i hope to have something nice soon to show you!
Anyway i'm looking forward to know more† details on Jamie's project, just because i prefer to co-operate with someone to develop a single great plugin.
Cheers

Hi Edo,
Hi!
(...)
For those who don't know, my project will be to improve the
last.fm
plugin. As well as porting the plugin to use the current api
under-the-hood, I plan to also create a more intuitive and rich
experience through a redesigned user interface.
Hi Jamie,
have you got some additional infos on your project (like mokups, and feature list), or at least the link to your GSOC application (I had to miss that)?
I do plan on starting a blog to keep people up to date with how
everything is going on. I am, however, currently in stress city this
week with exams. I will get round to it.
That's brilliant! Let us know the address. And maybe, like has be done last year, just bounce a weekly mail up here, so that everybody can follow you.
Thank you all (Jonathan & Co. included) for your work!!
