For what it's worth (in support of jorn), it has definitely crashed for
me sometimes, but not very often.  I am not sure what part of the
program to blame; it seems pretty random.  I think I introduced some
very subtle race condition when I was doing a merge between the old
0.4.1 library code and the CVS at the time.  

I'm probably going to try to go back and redo that merge soonish to see
if I can figure it out.
