What was the reasoning behind choosing C rather than a higher level
language such as Python? AFAIK Python has good Gnome/GStreamer bindings,
and when I last checked the RB code seemed to be, like a lot of Gnome
projects, mostly infrastructure (gobject/corba) stuff.
