Chen has good points here.
And Evolution branching early for gnome-2-28 (e.g. when the first
freezes start) sounds like the best plan to me.
I just like to ask the Evolution team to please decide on their schedule
plans early and to communicate them properly so every developers knows
(as it might be good to be conservative with committing bigger changes
to master if everybody knows that branching for gnome-2-28 will happen
"soon". People can wait and commit the bigger changes to master after
branching for gnome-2-28.)

Still waiting for release-team members with a better knowledge of
history (Kjartan maybe?) that can explain the decision to deprecate
libgnomecanvas.
I see two options:
* Keep libgnomecanvas deprecated in GNOME 3 and hence allow
Evolution 3 to use it.
* Have libgnomecanvas removed in GNOME 3 and Evolution include it.
Also see http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=571742#c6 .
Because of the complexity of this task I currently favor option 1.
IMO definitely give libgnomecanvas the lowest priority in cleaning up
the Evolution deps/code.
Other opinions? Silence means I will bring this up at the GUADEC r-t
meeting anyway. ;-)
