It seems as if 1day = 8h in any case. How is this motivated? For my
chemical process time runs every minute every day (the same goes for the
pregnant woman as we agreed ;-) ). How do I specify this?

I've noticed few places where there is the number 8 x 60 x 60
hard coded. I'd never looked deeper but raised,
