Rclone also allows you to mount the remote file system, and it supports 
a variety of protocols.

I haven't used it, but I've read positive reports about it.

Make sure you aren't using ftp without encryption, as that's a major 
security risk. At a minimum, it needs to be FTP over SSL. I think 
ssh/sftp are better options.
