Hi Jeffery.
I plan to give things another day before rolling the 42.3 apology
release. (I don't want to do it, only to have to do a 42.4 did-I-
mention-I-am-sorry follow-up the next day. *smiles*)

Okay, the change being added in Orca 42.2 explains why the problem
wasn't fixed by downgrading on my end. I didn't realize Debian
Unstable got an update in the time between upgrading to 43 Alpha from
Experimental and downgrading back to 42 from Unstable... I've just
downgraded to 42.1 from Debian Testing and reverting the changes I
made to ~/.local/share/orca/user-settings.conf, things seem to be
back
to what I'm used to...
Regarding a fix going forward, I didn't even know tables had
structural navigation beyond press t in browse mode to jump to the
beginning of the next table, but +1 to behavior should be consistent
between different ways of navigating a table. Actually, many of the
tables that were bogging me down with the constant announcements of
"row x , column y" were places I didn't realize were using tables
prior to this hiccup and navigated either like ordinary paragraphs or
by tabbing between links or form elements unaware a table was being
used to manage their layout.
Haven't tested master as I've never been all that comfortable with
installing from source.
