Alt+control+g works here. It's a toggle, and it matters not where your
mouse cursor is. You just press it whenever you want any key passed to
the virtual machine, and then if you want alt+f2 or maybe your
alt+control+arrows or something like that to control the main desktop,
you just press alt+control+g again. Hope it helps.
