Orca does render the widget in Braille, it's just not shown.

Yes.
Woulnd't we need, then, a third protocol to decide, on a per-widget
basis, which screen reader renders it?
Also, it's not necessarily clear that one wants to switch completely all
Braille and speech at the same time, there might be a reader that is
good at Braille and not so good at speech, and conversely for the other.
