Hi,
I am using brltty in the terminal as well.

And I don't get any feedback  from orca when brltty is used.

1. start the terminal
2. press orca+ctrl+space
3. disable speech and braille in the settings for the used terminal

If this doesn't work for you update your orca.
There was a bug in the past that it didn't honor the enable/disable
speech and braille for application settings.

I hope I got it right!
