And what about to use Jeremy's script? Where can I download it? He wrote
it to this list, but I can't understand it. Is it downloadable somewhere?
Thanks a lot.
Best regards
Vojta.

Hello,
Then the issue is with your installation, not with orca itself
I can't help you with that, sorry.

Hello,
if I write
/usr/local/bin/orca
it says Orca 42
My friend found, I have two Orcas in version 42.

Hello,
I just have rebuilt from master and yes orca -v says:
43.alpha
If you typed
orca
instead of
/usr/local/bin/orca
then you started the the version shipped with your distro instead of the one you
built from master.
If instead in your distro orca is started by some service file, I guess that it
has to be modified to start the version you have built from master.

Hello,
I mean the bug, which was expected. I would like to update Orca to Master and I
have 42 version only. Sorry for my wrong english grammar.

Hello, not sure I understand.
Do you mean that "orca -v reports:
42.0
this was expected. The version stays the same until a new tag appears. You
certainly won't see a commit id as upstream version.
Broken means "something doesn't work as expected". If yes, what?
Further, and unless your you are told that some fix for a bug of which you
suffer has been provided I don't see the point of building from git master.
Unless this be a hobby, of course <smile>
Cheers,
Didier

Hello,
I've done upgrade with this:
42cb6936f
but now I have Orca 42.0. So that's broken in Ubuntu Mate 22.04.
Best regards

Hello
This commit dates back 21 April 2022 (4 days ago):
https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/orca/-/commit/50d1b8e06b2cd6571f10a88acf46f8f14789ef4b
So this is not a downgrade of Orca shipped in Ubuntu Mate 22.04, but an
upgrade.
Cheers,
Didier
