Re: [orca-list] Mutt or other eMail Client

Mutt should work well with Orca under GNOME-Terminal.

However, you're probably more interested in a mailbox copying/synchronization tool such as isync.

Hi Kyle,
Actually, I also created a page at name.com and got the mail option too.
My plan is to get the mail out of my ISP's server, whether it goes to
outlook.com eMail or not.
So I have this CableOne for a few weeks, and if I can have all my messages
in a client on my computer and / or on a thumb drive, I can always export
them and import them if I want to.
I don't really care if they go to outlook.com unless that is the only way to
get them.
I don't know if there any text eMail clients I can install with apt, and
whether they will work with Orca.
Actually, if I can't read them with Orca, but am able to download them, I'll
be happy.

I'm not sure that Outlook mail can do this. Probably better to get a vps
and set up an IMAP server on it. You would then be able to sync your
mail from one IMAP server to the other using widely available IMAP sync
tools. Probably better to keep your mail on a VPS in any case, so that
your mail belongs only to you, and you alone determine what gets deleted
and how long you have the account. There are a couple of really good
solutions for easily setting up mail accounts on a VPS, including
ISPConfig, which also does websites and other things, and Mail in a Box
I believe it's called, which only does mail. Hope this information
helps.~Kyle
