Hi
hierarchical object navigation in NVDA is the default behavior, you
can toggle it to like the flat review.
I my self was of course comfortable with hierarchical object
navigation, because it helps it is not need to review on whole objects
to get the object that you want. You are right it is only suitable
when you know what you want and you can guess where there it is.
