Thank you. I feel a lot better about upgrading to the backport. It's a
whole new concept to me, coming from Arch Linux.

The whole point of backports is to avoid this kind of breakage.
I looked at the dependencies of Orca in buster-backports
(https://packages.debian.org/buster-backports/orca).
Seems the only changes are extra dependencies on a couple of gstreamer
packages and something called xkbset. All the existing dependencies
are the same.
