Huh, that sounds like an awfully big bug at best and absolutely
horrible design at worst. Would explain why every attempt I've ever
made at making a bootable flash drive failed though... and makes my
worries I won't be able to find a new desktop with an optical drive
when this old workhorse eventually breaks down all the stronger.
