Re: [orca-list] Do you want to change the default Orca keyboard layout to laptop ?

We don't loose the use of numpad keys with desktop layout as orca keys are active only when numlock is off.

If we want to use numpad, we only have to switch it on.

Best regards,

Patrick

I'd urge not to do this, unless the current setup poses problems for laptop users.  Even if I do get a Linux laptop, I'll go for one with a number pad if at all possible.

Hello all,

Joanie requested to me to ask you about changing the default keyboard layout of Orca from the desktop one to the laptop one.

If we do this, your currently keyboard layout will not change.

When you turn on a new computer with a fresh profile, you will have by default the laptop keyboard layout with the caps lock key as orca modifier.

What do you think about it?

Thanks in advance for your answers.
