Hi.

On my arch box with all updates the problem described happens when i try to type a password.

Also if I press alt+f2 and type a text, orca does not announce the characters typed.

Yes, it happens in all desktop, I have Mate and Gnome. I'll try to 
install clean 31 to check, if it is upgrade problem only or not.
