What alternatives to pty exist?  I'm running a base preset installation
which is command line only without any G.U.I. stuff at all.  This was
one of the install options and one of the more conservative
possibilities.  You can go for encrypted disk but I've never got a good
install with encrypted yet.  Maybe that will change in the future.
